DHWANI
A convergence of art, movement, and technology, Dhwani is an interactive installation imagined by Shilo Shiv Suleman brought to life through the synergy of brass, light, and motion.
Designed as a magnificent golden serpentine form, it transforms movement into waves into light, responding to those who engage with it. Drawing from the mythology of Anantasesnag and the cosmic ocean, and ancient mythological ideas of the Kundalini and subterranean worship – it manifests as a 12 foot brass sculpture made by Lohars in Rajasthan in contemporary form.
The piece features 14 motions sensors at the base, which sing and light up when the piece is circumambulated.
The sculpture comes alive with a performance by renowned Odissi dancer- Colleena Shakti. Sound sensors in the installation respond in realtime to the ritual performance at the exhibition.
Dhwani has previously been exhibited at Snowball Studios, Mumbai (2025), the Durga Puja pandals, Kolkata (2025) and Travancore Palace, Delhi (2026)
